Guidelines of assistance

ZLHR provides pro bono legal assistance in strategic cases that challenge the constitutionality of repressive laws and the impunity of state officials for human rights abuses.

Description

ZLHR is a law-based non-governmental organization established in 1996 to protect human rights in Zimbabwe and foster a culture of respect for rights at all levels of society. ZLHR's work includes public interest litigation, assisting human rights defenders, increasing public knowledge of constitutional rights, and strengthening the role of state institutions in implementing human rights. Its 200 individual members are practicing lawyers from across the country.
