Katherine Bisquet (Ciudad Nuclear, Cuba, 1992). Writer and activist. Graduated in Spanish Language from the University of Havana. Has published the following poetry books, Algo aquí se descompone (Colección Sur Editores, Havana, 2014) and Uranio empobrecido (Rialta Ediciones, Querétaro, Mexico, 2021). She has directed the film Inside San Isidro, short documentary, (CCC Collective, Spain-Cuba, 2023), Official Selection at the 64th Krakow Film Festival, International Short Film Competition 2024. Co-creator of Rialta Magazine’s column Cuban Cinema in Quarantine, 2020, a research and promotion initiative aimed at Cuban cinema. Was also a resident of Künstlerhaus Bethanien, 2021/2022, Berlin, Germany. Winner of the 2022 Ciudad de Alcalá Poetry Prize, Spain. Selected for one of the scholarships of the Florida International University program for threatened Cuban researchers in the humanities to carry out the literary project La blanca memoria. Compiler of poetry anthology: Cielo Raso. Antología de poetas cubanos en Cuba, (Rialta Ediciones,  Mexico, 2025).
