Ismario Rodríguez Pérez

Ismario Rodríguez Pérez (b. Havana, 1992) is a journalist and documentary filmmaker with a clear focus on contemporary narratives that intersect culture, society, and human rights. His work moves between journalism, documentary, and critical analysis, with a particular interest in the impact of images, digital media, and social transformations on everyday life. He has developed projects that combine rigorous research with a distinct aesthetic sensitivity, always seeking clarity, context, and depth. 

Through documentary, he explores topics such as migratory and power dynamics in contemporary societies, maintaining a critical distance from the spectacularization of reality. Between shooting, writing, and editing, Ismario conceives cinema as an act of radical attention: a way of observing without intervening, of assembling without manipulating, and of narrating without compromise.
