Fernando Fraguela Fosado (b. Cuba, 1991) is an independent filmmaker, editor, and producer based in Madrid. He holds a degree in Film Directing from the University of the Arts, in Cuba and completed the Documentary Video Production program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He has directed both documentary and fiction films. His work includes documentaries such as El matadero, Mujeres que sueñan un país, Existen, and Sueños al pairo, which have been screened at festivals across Europe, Asia, the United States, and Latin America. He is the recipient of the Silver Biznaga Award for Best Documentary Feature at the Málaga Film Festival, among other international awards and recognitions. His work focuses on essay and experimental cinema and the exploration of personal narratives. Alongside his filmmaking practice, he is engaged in international teaching and mentorship in directing, screenwriting, and editing.
