Evelyn Sosa (Havana, 1989) is a photographer with a preference in working with intimate and documentary portraits. Author of the book Havana Intimate, through the lens of Evelyn Sosa. She is a graduate of the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York, where she was awarded the Director’s Fellowship and the Arnold Newman Prize.
In 2017, Evelyn exhibited “Extrañas aves de paso,” her first solo show at the Mariano Rodriguez Gallery in Havana. Her second solo exhibition “Havana Intimate” opened in New York in 2019. In 2023 she exhibited the duo show “You are Everyone Who Tells a Story” at Space 776 in New York. Since 2011 and throughout her creative practice, she has participated in several group exhibitions in Cuba, the United States, Japan, and Europe.
