Kamini Vellodi

Kamini Vellodi is a writer, academic and artist, and the Head of Painting at the Royal College of Art London. She has worked across Fine arts and humanities in higher education for nearly 2 decades. Her research and publications crosses critical theory, art history and contemporary art practice; she has authored 2 books and over 25 articles, and exhibited her work internationally. She holds a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Art, London, Masters in Fine Arts from the Royal College of Art, and a PhD Philosophy form Middlesex University, UK. As an educational leader, Kamini is passionately committed to defending artistic freedom, inclusive cultural expression, and equality of educational opportunity in the global contexts of contemporary art.
