Guidelines of assistance
We have annual submissions open in each fall (September 1st-October 31st) through our website. Poets can submit up to 5 pages of work. Filmmakers can submit a reel or 1-3 short films. Stipends and resources available.
Description
Visible Poetry Project is a non-profit National Poetry Month initiative founded in 2017. We partner poets with filmmakers to transform poems into films. Focusing on artists underrepresented in traditional publication and film, we facilitate artist pairings, provide production support, and release films daily over the course of National Poetry Month (April). Since our founding, we’ve produced 100 original films with renowned and emerging artists alike and held public programs worldwide.
