Guidelines of assistance
All proposed projects & submitted portfolios must be works of nonfiction based on social issues such as health, poverty, oppression, war, famine, religious/political persecution, and similar topics. Proposals must be for new or continuing projects.
Description
The Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation for Documentary Photography & Film supports emerging and established photographers and filmmakers working in developing nations to keep their lenses fixed on the plight of the poor and disenfranchised. The foundation's annual grants and awards program provides cash to those who demonstrate exemplary work in focusing on underprivileged individuals.
