RCFP assists journalists working in areas where U.S. law applies. Anyone dealing with issues related to press freedom is encouraged to contact the Legal Defense and FOIA Hotline.
Description
RCFP attorneys provide legal resources, support, and advocacy to protect First Amendment and freedom of information rights of journalists working in areas where U.S. law applies. The attorneys maintain Legal Defense and Special Events Reporters Hotlines, contribute to amicus briefs and statements, provide free publications and resources, offer rapid responses, and hold regional training seminars.
