Guidelines of assistance
Musicians in Exile provides travel expenses, instrument loans, weekly rehearsals, professional facilitators and opportunities to perform in public. Participants must be fully able to play or sing their cultures' music, as there is no teaching capacity.
Description
Musicians in Exile are a community project for asylum seeking and refugee musicians formed by The Glasgow Barons, an orchestra for Govan. Through city wide flyering and direct contact with the Red Cross, Govan Community Project etc, we offer travel expenses, weekly rehearsals, free instrument loans and performance opportunities to give back to their hosting communities.
