Guidelines of assistance
The Safety Fund is a short-term fund (no more than six months) for individual journalists who are targeted or victimized as a direct result of their work. Assistance is also offered to the families of journalists who have been killed.
Description
Media Support monitors freedom of press violations and works to further the transparency and accountability of democratic institutions. As well as consciousness raising and furthering media policy and legislation to protect journalists, Media Support offers training for journalists in the areas of digital media security, photojournalism and documentary filmmaking, and legal resources. Media Support also offers a Safety Fund for journalists in danger.
