Guidelines of assistance
Applicants to this scholarship must be between 21–35 years old and fluent in the language of the country where they will go to study. Applicants from the U.S. and Canada will require documentation of their proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese.
Description
IAPA works with print and online publications to promote press freedom in the Western Hemisphere. To that end, it monitors and reports on violations of press freedoms, coordinates support for publications threatened by censorship, and campaigns to increase awareness of crimes committed against journalists, all the while serving as a forum for editors, journalists, and publishers to exchange ideas and advance shared understanding across countries in the region.
