ASSEMBLE: In Conversation
ARC – Artists at Risk Connection Executive Director Julie Trébault will participate in ASSEMBLE: In Conversation, a public discussion exploring how artists, cultural organizations, and international networks can respond to displacement, crisis, and social change.
Hosted by D6 and Larnaka2030 in Larnaka, Cyprus, the conversation will bring together cultural leaders working across artistic freedom, mobility, and international collaboration. Julie will join Alix Pornon of Cité internationale des arts to discuss the challenges facing artists and cultural workers in contexts shaped by conflict, forced displacement, and environmental change, as well as the role of solidarity networks in supporting creative communities.
The discussion is part of ASSEMBLE, a Creative Europe-supported initiative examining the intersections of mobility, belonging, care, and collective action. Through a panel discussion and audience exchange, participants will explore how cultural ecosystems can be strengthened in times of uncertainty and how artists contribute to resilience, connection, and social transformation.
ARC is proud to support this conversation as an associate partner of ASSEMBLE and to contribute its experience advocating for and protecting artists at risk worldwide.
ASSEMBLE is led by D:6 (Cyprus) in partnership with Congress of Cultural Activists (Ukraine), Moving Artists (Spain), and On the Move, with associate partners D6: Culture in Transit (UK), ARC – Artists at Risk Connection, and Larnaka2030 (Cyprus). The project is supported by the European Union through the Creative Europe Programme and, in the UK, by Arts Council England.
