ARC @ CEC ArtsLink Assembly 2026: Building Courage, Sharing Ground

New York

4 November 2026
NYU Steinhardt | Pless Lounge
36 Washington Pl. New York, NY 10003

ARC is honored to participate in the 2026 ArtsLink Assembly: “Building Courage, Sharing Ground,” the latest chapter of the annual action-oriented platform curated to shift paradigms in transcultural practice. As part of the in-person event held in New York City, ARC Program Officer Patrick Bond will present updates regarding the launch of Preparedness is An Art Form, ARC’s dedicated risk preparedness tool for U.S. based artists and cultural workers, an initiative built upon findings from our National Artist Safety Survey.

The ArtsLink Assembly 2026 aims to build resilient transnational collaborative networks capable of countering isolationism and the impacts of authoritarianism. The gathering will examine how existing U.S. cultural infrastructures, particularly within major metropolitan centers like New York City, can best adapt to host displaced, recently arrived, and transnational artists within the broader need to defend and foster cultural diversity in the U.S.

Curated by CEC ArtsLink in dialogue with Artist Communities Alliance (ACA), Artistic Freedom Initiative (AFI), Artists at Risk Connection (ARC), Tamizdat, and City of Asylum Detroit. Support is provided by the Trust for Mutual Understanding, NYU Steinhardt, and the Kirby Family Foundation.
