Guidelines of assistance
The International Human Rights Art Movement (IHRAM) brings together artists, activists, and communities to spotlight urgent human rights issues through creative expression. They organize annual festivals and public events that showcase performances, exhibitions, and storytelling rooted in social justice; provide fellowships and resources to support artists at risk; and publish literary, visual, and digital works that amplify marginalized voices. Through these programs, IHRAM both protects freedom of expression and leverages the power of art to spark dialogue, inspire action, and build solidarity across borders.
Description
The International Human Rights Art Movement (IHRAM) is dedicated to amplifying the voices of artists who use their creativity to confront injustice and champion human rights around the world. IHRAM protect freedom of expression by highlighting those who might be suppressed or oppressed in their home countries. They bring together all members of society through our programming, from artists-in-exile and at risk; to activists on the front lines of the struggle for rights and justice in their own country; to creators working in all media; to national and international politicians, government agencies, social leaders and celebrities. They believe that creative engagement with all members of the society is the surest path toward social justice and positive change.
