Guidelines of assistance
VLA provides pro bono arts-related legal representation and education to low-income artists and nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. VLA is not able to assist on legal issues that do not have any connection to New York.
Description
Established in 1969, VLA is a pioneer in pro bono arts-related legal aid and educational programs about the legal and business issues that affect artists and arts organizations. With VLA's services, about 50 percent of matters are resolved in the initial consultation or clinic.
