The Watermill Center
Guidelines of assistance
Admission to the program is by selection only. The Watermill Center uses SlideRoom to gather applications and work samples for its residency program. All material must be submitted via the online portal through SlideRoom. There are NO exceptions.
Description
Artists in Residence share their creative process with the Long Island community through open rehearsals, workshops, and artist talks. The center combines performance and rehearsal sites with working and communal living spaces, as well as access to The Watermill Center Collection of art and artifacts, an extensive reference library, kitchen facilities, and a dormitory. Watermill Center provides local transportation, housing, and work space. Residents are responsible for living expenses and travel to and from Watermill, as well as production expenses such as art materials, art supplies, and equipment rentals, for which Watermill will provide a modest reimbursement.
