The Sigrid Rausing Trust is a UK grant-making foundation, founded in 1995 by Sigrid Rausing to support human rights globally. Since then, the trust has given away approximately £273 million to human rights organizations all over the world.
Description
The Sigrid Rausing Trust (SRT) supports all forms of human rights organizations that work on a wide array of issues, from torture to LGBT rights. The trust's Women's Rights program awards organizations that address gender-based violence (including domestic abuse), female genital mutilation, sexual violence in conflict, the rights of women to control their own bodies, and other initiatives related to female oppression and empowerment.
