Guidelines of assistance
The human rights defender must currently undertake significant human rights activities. Each applicant should have a clear, realistic, and useful plan for what to achieve during the fellowship, as well as what to achieve upon returning home.
Description
The Centre for Applied Human Rights runs a fellowship for human rights defenders at risk. Since 2008, the center has hosted over 61 defenders from a number of countries, including Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, and Papua New Guinea. During the fellowship, the recipient has the opportunity both to recuperate and develop their skills.
