Cartoonists Rights provides emergency services for persecuted/at-risk cartoonists. Cartoonists Rights has a number of clients who have been threatened for their work and advocates to raise public pressure on governments to end repression. Any cartoonist may be nominated for the biannual Robert Russell Courage in Cartooning Award, which provides a $1,000 prize to artists who have demonstrated exceptional courage in the face of great danger.
