Emergency Legal Defense Fund provides financial grants to artists that are unfairly detained or persecuted for producing or distributing their work by authoritarian governments. AFC produces White Papers on countries who unfairly persecute artists.

Description

The Artistic Freedom Center is a nonprofit nonpartisan organization that takes a stand for artists who are unjustly silenced, intimidated and censored around the world. AFC works toward a world where artists everywhere can freely express themselves; where all people can access and appreciate the concepts communicated through creative expression.
