by postmaster | May 19, 2024
Each year, ARTifariti calls for artists to spend 15 days pursuing artistic projects in Sahrawi refugee camps in Algeria. Interested candidates must submit a proposal and pay the €750 fee, which includes transport from Madrid, food, and lodging.
ARTifariti is an annual conference of local and foreign artists in Sahrawi camps located in Algeria carried out with the aim of exploring differing responses to the history of conflict and colonialism in the region. ARTifariti aims to disseminate information on the occupation of Western Sahara through the participation of artists from different countries and to promote collaborative artistic projects between Sahrawi locals and international artists.
