Yimit is a multidisciplinary artist with more than 20 years of experience combining film, animation, and visual arts. His training at the Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes San Alejandro, the Instituto Superior de Diseño and the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, has enriched his artistic perspective, allowing him to explore diverse techniques and media.
His projects address themes of identity and freedom, focusing on the atrocities of the Cuban dictatorship and the figure of Fidel Castro, an obsession he tries to exorcize through different media such as comics, interactive applications, music videos, graphic humor, augmented reality, and film.
In 2020, he founded with five other partners the audiovisual production company Free Media en Madrid, where he develops the virtual reality project “Los Ojos de Mila Kaos” and the fiction feature film “Loading.” In addition, he works as a consultant and createch, an artist specialized in technology, and in other film productions.
