Guidelines of assistance

At-risk journalists and media professionals from eligible countries can apply (upon referral from partner organization). Eligible countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

Description

The Beirut-based Samir Kassir Foundation is a freedom of expression and media development organization established in 2006. SKF monitors all types of violations targeting media and culture professionals in the Levant and cultural freedom violations in the MENA region. SKF provides safe hosting and temporary relocation services to journalists and media professionals facing severe risks and threats, and supports the emerging independent, digital media scene in the MENA region.
