Guidelines of assistance

The organization offers residencies for artists in exile. The organization covers the cost of transport of the artists and their works, accommodation (4 rooms), and artistic production material. While artists are in their residency, they can produce, exhibit, sell work, and run workshops. The organization does not take commissions on sales.

Description

The organization receives artists in exile for one-month artist residencies for three to four months a year. Since June 2018 they accepted close to 60. It is a private initiative and takes place in a house the founder built in Saint-Briac sur Mer (Ille et Vilaine, France). Since January 2024, ‘La Maison des artistes en exil’ has become an association, mainly for financial reasons. For the artists, nothing has changed.
