Description
DefendDefenders, known as The East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Advocates Project until 2015, protects human rights defenders in the African region, focusing its work on Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia (together with Somaliland), South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Resources for various types of defenders (e.g., LGBTI and human rights) are available on the website, as well an emergency hotline for human rights defenders.
