Guidelines of assistance

Aside from the Gerard Sokoto award, eligible artists must be between the ages of 21 and 35 and permanent residents of South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Egypt, Mauritius, or Seychelles.

Description

The Barclays L'Atelier prize grants residencies and exhibitions to multiple artists ages 21–35 from specific African countries each year. Winners receive a cash prize plus a round-trip to Paris, France, and each finalist will also be paired with a mentor who will work with them for a year.
