Internship
ARC is seeking interns who are passionate about human rights, artistic expression, and serving artists at risk and the organizations that support them. Applications will be accepted until April15, 2018.
Responsibilities include
- assisting with research and outreach to expand our network
- maintaining database of resources for artists at risk
- drafting content for social media platforms and media monitoring
- doing prospect research and supporting other fundraising efforts
- data-gathering, analysis, and writing for the ARC website and other forms communications
- communicating with individual artists at risk and representatives of organizations that support them
- monitoring issues, countries, and individual cases around the world where artistic expression is under threat
Skills
- knowledge about and interest in global free expression and artistic freedom
- strong research, writing, organizational, and administrative skills
- ability to work quickly, stay organized, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs
- experience managing social media accounts and drafting social media content
- experience with prospect research and grant writing
- experience with online databases and website management
- proficiency in a language other than English
